The role is based within the University Secretary’s Office, a relatively small department which encompasses University Governance; Compliance; Legal; and Welsh language.Most of the University’s staff are currently working remotely due to the ongoing pandemic, however the role will be based in Pontypridd. This role will utilise your knowledge and expertise to advise and lead on a wide variety of equality, diversity and inclusion matters.
We are looking for an individual with a passion for equality, diversity and inclusion to lead this next phase of our agenda and make a tangible difference to our ambitious plans. We would like to recruit a colleague who can lead on compliance, coordinate activity to drive improvement against our existing action plans, in addition to implementing new work programmes that will emerge from our recent membership of the Race Equality Charter.
This is a full time, permanent role.
If you are a successful candidate and this position will be your first professional services role at the University (or you are currently employed by PSS Ltd), you will be employed by Professional and Support Services Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of the University of South Wales, which provides services to the University and Colleges. If you are an internal professional services candidate, you will be continue to be employed by the University of South Wales.
